Archiving classrooms: FAQs
Frequently asked questions about archiving classrooms.
1. What is classroom archiving?
Classroom archiving lets you deactivate classes that you're not teaching anymore. This is handy for keeping your account organized between your current and former classes.
2. Why archive a classroom, rather than just delete it?
In addition to keeping your account organized, archiving lets your old students import the avatar and characters they created in your class into their new classroom. Plus it lets them download all of the comics they made with you. When you delete a classroom, students can no longer access either of these things and lose the work they did in your class. Students can follow these steps to import characters into their new classroom.
3. What's the difference between an archived classroom and a regular classroom?
The only difference is that you can't assign new activities to an archived class, and students in an archived class can no longer log in to create new comics and characters.
4. How do you archive a classroom?
Teachers, follow these steps to archive your classroom.
5. Can students with archived classrooms download their work?
Yes, students with archived classrooms can save all of their comics and characters to their computer any time by following these steps.
