Archived classrooms: How do students save their work?
Students can follow these steps to save image files of all their comics, and character files that they can import into their classes next year!
Students can ONLY save these files if their teacher has archived their class. See here for FAQs on classroom archiving.
Log into your student account.
Go to www.bitstripsforschools.com and enter your class code. If your classroom has been archived, you'll see a message like the one above. If you don't see a message saying your class has been archived by your teacher, you won't be able to download your work.
Next, choose your name from the class list, enter your password and click on the Login button.
Download your comics.
You should now be at the screen pictured above. There are 3 links that you can click on to save your work - choose Download your comics.
Your web browser will now give you the option to open or save the file - choose to save. You'll now be asked to pick a location to save the file or else it will automatically save in the same place that you normally download files. (If you're finding it tricky, ask your parents for help.) Your comics will be saved as image files that you can view on any computer!
You're done saving all your comics!
Download your avatar and character files.
Now click on Download your avatar or Download your characters to save them to your computer. You'll again be asked to pick a location to save the file or else it will automatically save where you normally download files. You're done saving your avatar and characters!
You can ONLY use avatar and character files in the Character Builder. Hang on to them so you can import them into your new class next year!
